If you're building a stock 53 Ford of any kind remember that the splash pan between the bumper and body should be painted Argent/Silver. While I'm at it, the steering column and everything attached to it should be painted black. That goes for the Pace car too.
As 1953 was Fords 50th Anniversary you'd think they could have been a bit more creative with details than just a medallion in the steering wheel hub.
